My experience with this was the same as others. I was contacted by someone posing as joesph loria. He offered me a job and to send a check for materials. I was suspicious when he refused to speak over the phone, or over zoom. I checked out the company which is legitimate but when i dug deeper i confirmed it was a scam.

I received an email from a woman names Kelly Eppenger who claimed that she reviewed my resume and to contact someone named Joseph Loria, who quite a few people have mentioned in this thread. I was weary, but proceeded to do an interview through Zoom chat. I played along and he claimed that he would forward the conversation to the hiring department and came back saying that I was hired. He then said that he the accounting department will issue a check to come to my house. To anybody reading this, no legitimate company will issue you a check to purchase materials.

I just want to clarify this is not a complaint about the company Zeel but a warning for job seekers who are contacted via email for job positions with this company. They will host a chat-only interview via zoom, ask some questions and then hire you a few days later, even sending a seemingly official welcome letter. The scam begins with them telling you they will send you a check to purchase equipment from their vendor to start your training. Don't do it. The job offer is fake, the check will be fake. Report and block them. The most recent was a man named Joseph Loria. He is an actual employee of zeel networks but if you receive an interview offer from him, ignore it.

They charged me without providing any services. Please stay away. Thanks

I applied for a job on indeed. I received a text from Brittany stating I was wanted for an interview and to download the app Telegram and add Leo Grady to my contacts. Then I was told to send him a message on Telegram stating that I was contacting him regarding an interview. After several questions he stated that I had the job and was sending me a check to then buy merchandise to use for the job. He sent me a long list of things to purchase from "thier" vendor. I was fedexed a check overnight for $4900 and when I received it, he told me rather than deposit it, take it to ATM and put the money in so that I could use it right away to purchase the items from the vendor. The check was from a company called Atherton Road Sales and Service Inc out of Burton MI with the bank name Huntington Bank. The fedex envelope was from a company called AAM Casting at 6332 W State ST, Wauwatosa WI from Johnny Portal. Since Zeel indicates on their website they are in New Jersey, I asked "Leo" why he was in one place and the check was from another company and the fedex from another, he simply stated that the check was issued from the check was issued from the company payment dept. I told him that I could NOT simply put the check in through the ATM as I didn't want to do anything stupid. So, I deposited it and they placed a hold on it waiting for funds. He still asked me to check in with him daily to state if the monies were in my account yet. This morning, my account indicated it was a counterfeit check. I texted him stating this and his answer was "It can be". All three companies indicated have their own website so I'm not sure if they've made all of them up or if these are legit companies that they are using their info. I did not see any info online regarding this scam and thought it best to report this immediately. I have a copy of the check and the fedex envelope if you need to contact me for more information. This did of course sound like a scam from the beginning but I played along just in case. I hate for others to believe it though and lose money.

Nearly got caught to the scam ! Well someone by the name Scott contacted originally in response to the resume in Indeed. Then Kelly Eppenger sent an email indicating the resume was reviewed and to Create a zoom account and contact Joseph Loria. He set up a chat only meeting (red flag) and used some pressure tactics asking to prove that I am fully committed to the job. Finally he sent a msg via Zoom that I got the job. He said his company is sending a check immediately to buy some office equipment. I told him that I have a fully equipped home office. He said I must use their equipment and that the check will cover the amount to buy them from their vendor. He even said IBM. I asked what equipment it would be and he said a Laptop, printer, scanner, stationary and even a microfiche. No kidding ! By that time I have come across this page and knew it is a scam. So I stopped communicating. Modern day thieves. Shameless ! There should be special prisons for this kind of criminals.

Thanks for this. I received a check a couple of days ago regarding a job interview via zoom. I’ve been communicating with Joseph Loria. He told me that I got the job yesterday. I got skeptical when I received the check early this morning with a different company name in the check and a different name on the envelope. I’m going to block them. They need to be stopped.

I am also leery having the same experience. I’ve been “hired” awaiting check to buy their equipment. Scam alarms going off.
