- New York, NY, USA

Be informed that Yellow pages holding ltd. and digital marketing support Ltd are both involved, or the same company with a new name.

In 2014 we received a fax from a scam company, then named yellow pages holding ltd.

They are infamous at faxing small businesses and misleading them into thinking they are yellow pages, asking to correct any errors on the business listing, and when one does, they start billing you for advertising.

They were then known as Yellow pages holding ltd, alluding to the yellow pages, and now also known as Digital marketing Support LTD, according to a recent demand for payment letter received today

They are all over the internet as a scam and are continuing such scam practices harassing business owners to now wire a fraction of their absorbent invoice to their bank. Other letters and faxes sent years ago requested a credit card.

We are aware such businesses are not easy to catch or stop and the names change, however we are posting this complaint for your records and to help others.

This is how they accomplish the scam: They fax the a company the listing to correct errors and all over that page reads it is not a bill. And to sign. Then 4” down at the bottom of the page is an illegible paragraph, and that is what they are highlighting when sending this bill.

We reported them in 2014 to the attorney general, and did again today.

This company is not legit. They have been trying to get money from us for two years. We had an lawyer involved and they still are trying.

We have been told any faxes with walking fingers for the yellow pages are fraud.

I received a fax from Yellow Pages Colorado asking to update our information for the new directory listing. The form had the "walking" Yellow Pages symbol. I filled out the information, thinking it was the actual directory listing, which we receive around the beginning of the year. I then started receiving "invoices" to pay for the year as part of a 2 year contract. The letter is from Yellow Marketing LTD out of Frankfurt, Germany. It is at this time that I realized it was a scam and not the actually Yellow Pages that they were impersonating.

The Yellow Holdings LTD is a shell company and has been investigated by the FTC since 2013.

There are multiple offices who fax a sheet that looks like an update for the Yellow Pages but is

not. Shortly after the company gets a large bill for so-called "internet listings." Every month they

tack on late fees so that the cost doubles and then they use a collection agency to harass you for

non-payment. My business has been harassed for over two years now. Contact has been made in the

past with BBB, Attorney General of NY, and FTC by our company. The phone calls and letters must stop!

Our business was contacted by Yellow marketing LTD in December 2016 posing as Yellow Pages. We were contacted via fax to update our business listing. After updating the listing we received an invoice for $1104.00 plus weekly $50 past due fees. We contacted the company via fax and told them the individual who signed did not have authority for the purchase nor did we see on the listing that there was a charge. They stated it was a binding legal 2 year contract and then would let us pay for one year at $1134.00 and then cancel. I will be sending a letter stating that we did not agree to any paid services and to remove our company from any listing and to stop contacting us.

I updated the information for our business on a Yellow Pages Washington form that was faxed over and seemed legitimate. It said nothing about a price. I kept received an invoice for $1,104.00 so I immediately thought it was a scam because the address on the invoice was from 60528 Frankfurt Germany. However, I ignored the invoice (and 2 more) because I knew we did not owe that money. Today I received a letter stating that they would send our account balance over to a professional debt collection agency; there was no way that would be happening. I called them at 1 (888)893-1696 and the lady was "unable" to help me. I then reported them to the to the Federal Trade Commission and will also be reporting them to the Washington State Attorney.

- Wichita, KS, USA

FAX stated that we needed to RENEW our service. I thought they were from the actual Yellow Pages as we do have an account with them. When I got the bill it didn't look like my regular yellow pages and it said it was the yellow page team. That is when I realize I had been tricked. I got online to check it out and it seems I am not the only one this happens to. I faxed them that I would not pay the bill as they had put themselves out as the yellow pages and that isn't what I had signed up for and was told I authorized it. I explained that I was under the impression they were the real yellow pages. I faxed them back and said I would not pay it and that I wanted the account cancelled. I got another letter showing my authorized signature on the fax (I did sign it, but it says Yellow Pages on the top with the old logo of the 2 fingers walking-they are no who they claim to be). I sent them back a note saying I refuse to pay it and I will be filing complaints with the ScamPulse.com and FCC as I noticed they had a scam alert on them.

Others have reported the same thing as I am now embroiled in--it looks like a "confirmation" of your information, but the very fine print indicates you are signing up for 2 years of some sort of so-called "Yellow Pages" advertising, but it has nothing to do with the Yellow Pages and I doubt anything appears in print anywhere. Anything, that is, except the $1000 invoice, which is supposedly due in 7 days! Then they start charging interest payments on the "unpaid balance."

It appears and is worded as if it is simply a verification of your information. The one that came to us had a few errors, so my assistant dutifully made the corrections and faxed it back. Big mistake! The fine print is almost illegible, and they obviously are trying (successfully in some cases, I suppose) to dupe the recipient.

When I received the invoice I immediately faxed them a letter telling them to cancel it immediately, and that it was done in error, and that my signature was not on the form. They said the "accounting department" would contact me. That was last week, so far, no contact from them.

I'll have my attorney send them a letter or fax if they won't leave me alone.

I received a fax asking me to update my directory listing. It had my old location address so I changed to the new address and faxed it back. Then I get a bill for $1,099, which is now increased to $1,429. I immediately sent an email on 10-12-15 to cancel the listing. they replied back that the form was a 2 year contract and we need to pay.Subject #*** Ann has called to harrass me to pay the bill mulitple times. I was ready to hire a lawyer and send them all the correspondence when I just googled yellow page scams and found this is an ongoing scam. I feel this company should be punished or sued for millions for wasting small business owner's time.

- Denton, NC, USA

Consumer reported that he received a form from Yellow Holding Ltd. asking him to verify my company information.

The form stated in large print "THIS IS NOT A BILL" however the very small print at the bottom states that by verifying the information you are purchasing a two-year online directory listing that will cost $1,099 per year. Consumer said that he faxed in his information before he read the small print. He didn't want to be billed for any advertising so he called and called but never could talk to anyone directly. The form said he could fax a cancellation notice and he did. The next day he called again and the company rep said that they didn't get the fax. So he faxed them 300 copies of his cancellation. Called back and they said they got it. A few days later he received a bill for yellow page advertising from Yellow Holding, Ltd. in the amount of $1329. Consumer called again and they said they had never received my cancellation fax. So again, he faxed them a cancellation notice 300 times. He called and they said they received the faxes.

Do not fax or send any information to this company. Scam business!
