- Columbia, TN, USA

I was offered a position as an administrative assistant work from home. I was then told that they needed to send me an electronic check for $1750 for supplies which I was to deposit, send them the picture of the deposit slip, let them know when it cleared. It was then requested back by the originating bank. They sent out a second check this time for $4550. I again waited for the bank to release it, as soon as I said it was cleared, it was withdrawn for non-sufficient funds from the originating bank. I was told I was going to deposit the cash from this check into an account into a personal Bank of America vendors account named Edward Mark. I don't know why they weren't sending the check to the vendor in the first place. That is two bad checks in a row. As soon as I confronted them I haven't heard from them again. A letter that came with the check included an email [email protected] to keep updated on everything that was going on with the check. I just fill like if the bank hadn't caught it I would be out 4550 and they are trying to scam people out of thousands of dollars.
