- Pleasant Prairie, WI, USA

I received a call from Jack Miller stating that I was eligible to receive a government grant in the amount of $11,500. I would need to go to Western Union and send $200, which I would get back in the check I receive. He said I would get a "steamcard" when I pay and that I could go to www.obama.net and look at personal loans.

- Kenosha, WI, USA

I received a call saying that there was a $7000 grant for me as I am disabled to help me pay off my bills. I was given a second phone number to call, 206-929-6655 and a code of RK777. I asked them how much I would have to pay and they told me nothing, just call the number. After doing some checking I see that the phone number is connected to a scam, where they ask for anywhere from $100-$300 for activation.

- Appleton, WI, USA

I received 2 calls saying that I had been selected to received a grant in the amount of $9900. I was to go to western union and pay the $250 registration fee, which I would get back in the check they would send.
