My elderly mother was having problems with her Cox cable service. After searching online for a tech support number to call, I was redirected to the page (see the image attached) with the phone number. I called the number and the person asked what the problem was. I explained the problem and he said he would have to link my account to hers to proceed with the support. He had me download, install, and start a screen viewer app on my iphone. He then directed me to my apple settings. From there he directed me to the Apple Pay settings. At that point I became suspicious and asked why I had to go to Apple Pay. He said it was to link the accounts. I told him I didn't want to do that. He then said I should instead go to Apple gift cards. At that point I knew it was a scam.

He had a chance to see my apple id at a minimum.
