I saw an ad on Facebook for this product, and THOUGHT I had nothing to lose because all I had to pay was $4.95 for the shipping on a trial of the product. (Hint: NEVER ORDER ANYTHING THAT JUST CHARGES YOU $4.95 FOR SHIPPING my credit card company warned me later!) So I ordered it. A few days later, I began seeing comments below this Facebook ad that concerned me, and I already began worrying it was a scam, so I went back to find the ad on Facebook and read all the terms and conditions. And sure enough, after two weeks on this trial supplement without calling and cancelling, they will charge you the full price of the supplement (which is $84.90--the first month I was actually charged $79.95 because I had already paid the $4.95 for shipping which went towards the full price of the trial product--so you actually get charged later for the full price of the trial product), and then they enroll you in an autoshipment of this product charging $84.90 per month thereafter.

HOWEVER, I read the terms and conditions WITHIN the 14 day trial period after ordering this product and actually called in on day 8 after placing my order and cancelled my order. I went back to the Facebook ad and called the number listed on the ad which is 1-800-637-1092 under the "contact us." She found my name and billing address and order information in her records, and I asked the representative again and again to ensure that I was completely cancelled and that I had done it within the said time frame of 14 days or less, and she assured me all was cancelled and that I would not be charged one more penny OR receive any more product. She assured me again and again of that. I wrote down the date and time I called in, and I requested a confirmation of cancellation number which she happily provided me and repeated back to me to ensure I had written it down correctly. I thought I had done everything I needed to do, and she assured me I had.

But, what do you know? About two weeks after I had ordered the product, and days AFTER I had called in and cancelled, my credit card was charged $79.95 for that initial trial product. But, we didn't catch it on our statement (life has been busy, and we hadn't had a chance to look over our statement to make sure there wasn't any suspicious activity). I was then charged again the following month $84.90 and received product in the mail that time. This is what alerted me to check my credit card statement. I called twice to the 1-800-637-1092 number and was hung up on the first time as she said she didn't like my tone of voice, but her tone of voice skyrocketed after that, and she hung up on me saying "they couldn't find me anywhere in the system, so there was nothing they could do for me, but that all they could do for me was to suggest I call my bank and have them track down a phone number and do a conference call with me." Yah, right--I'm in their system SOMEWHERE because they are charging my credit card just fine each month and having my billing address perfectly, name, etc. I'm there. They're just not being honest.

So I called back determined to not let my tone of voice get a little agitated this time (I did not swear or use any inappropriate language the first time either), and the representative at this call center told me the same thing--that they couldn't find me anywhere in their system. And of course, they said they needed the first six of my credit card number and the last four in order to be able to "effectively" look me up in the system. That bothered me, but I figured I would be cancelling this credit card anyway with how they had been treating me. So, I gave it to them, and sure enough, they couldn't find me anywhere in their system (this credit card info. was requested of me the first time I called in as well). I asked for a supervisor, and she said that a supervisor wouldn't be able to help me if she couldn't find me anywhere in the system. I offered the confirmation of cancellation number they had given me, and they said they still could not find me anywhere in their system, and then told me the same thing--to call my bank and have them do a conference call with me to whatever number they had of where this charge was coming from.

I then called my credit card company to file a dispute who got on the phone with me and we conferenced called this SlimGenesis company at the number on the bottle I had received which was 1-855-258-8906 (probably the same number on my credit card statement?). And viola! What do you know? They pulled all of my information right up, what do you know?! When I explained the problem, she told me she had no record of me calling in and cancelling, and that the cancellation number I was giving her was an "invalid cancellation number." I told her the date and time I had called in, gave her the cancellation number I was provided which I had written down correctly, and after quite some time, she told me she could only give me a partial refund--about a 35% refund on my first month's order, and a full refund on my second month's order MINUS a $9.95 restocking fee that I would have to pay after also paying to ship the product back to them. (Which is ridiculous because I never should have received this second bottle in the first place.)

My credit card company told me they had received MANY calls in regards to this company, and they were sure it was a scam as well. We decided to call the next day and see if we could get someone nicer in order to get me my full refund. The next day we called, and the "supervisor" gave us the same information--that they had no record of me calling in and cancelling my order and that the confirmation of cancellation number I had given them was invalid. I proceeded to tell her that I had called their call center at 1-800-637-1092, and they had indeed cancelled my order, and that OBVIOUSLY the call center and them were connected because I was receiving product from them (the number 1-855-258-8906 number is on the bottle), and they somehow had all my billing information and credit card on file when the only ones I had personally talked to up until the last two days were the people at the call center--which is the "contact us" number listed on the Facebook Ad. (It's part of their game to tell you that they can't find you anywhere in their system, and to provide you with "invalid confirmation numbers," lie to you and tell you that you are all cancelled EVEN WHEN you called and cancelled in the 14 day period after placing your initial order, etc.). She told me she could only give me a 15% more refund on my January order. (Uh huh--so why can you up it to a 50% total refund on my trial/first order, but not a full refund? If you can go 50%, you can go the whole way.) I proceeded to tell her that unless she provided me with a FULL REFUND from my trial/first order, I was going to go legal. I told her that the more I talk to "you people at your company, the more I am convinced this is a scam, and that I think she knew it was all a big scam, and that unless she provided me with a full refund, I was going to come after them legally, and that I had two brothers who are attorneys, so my legal fees would be free" (all true).

After what seemed like an entire 2-3 minute LONG silence, she informed me that everything had been credited back to my account minus the $9.95 restocking fee and money I had already spent the day before mailing the product back to them (which came to a total of about $15.52 loss for me since shipping was about $5.57). She said I had to pay that $9.95 because the restocking fee was in the terms and conditions (and I probably could have fought that because it was their fault they sent me the product in the first place since I had cancelled the order about six weeks before this product was processed and arrived, but I didn't want to fight her anymore--that was good enough for me.) I also kept the tracking number to prove I had returned the second round of product, and I paid for a required signature upon arrival so they couldn't come after me and tell me I had never returned the product and thus not refund my money. At this time, it looks like the said money has been credited back to my account.

Make sure you search companies online before purchasing from them! My credit card company told me they had received MANY, MANY calls on this company, and that they knew it was a scam (and that their product didn't work anyway), so to never buy from them.

The games they play and they way they try to trick you are ridiculous even when you think you've done everything right (cancelling within the 14 day time frame) and they assure you that you have done everything right and that you won't be charged one more penny or receive any more product. Very infuriating! I hope this blesses others out there to not get into the same pickle that I did.
