- Hurricane Mills, TN, USA

I'm a current Capital One customer.

On Saturday February 16, 2019 I received a call on my answering machine from 800-531-0378 stating it was Linda from Capitol One regarding an important business matter and to return the call at 866-953-7906. When I called them back they asked for my entire social security number, three digits on the back of my card, full date of birth, and name. I provided them of this information and she said that she was verifying my card was activated. My son and daughter walked in the room at this point and started asking me who I was giving my information to. I told them what happened at which point my daughter called the customer service number on the back of my Capital One credit card and explained what happened to a representative. The representative cancelled my card, sent out a replacement and instructed her to send an email reporting what happened.
