I applied for a production assistant job via craigslist and was hired for a 5 day gig at a rate of $400/day. My contact informed me that I would be required to rent and transport cameras and equipment. He FedExed me a cashier's check and expected me to deposit it and then wire the money to the camera rental place. I did not deposit it and sent him an email expressing that this was extremely unusual and didn't add up and requesting that he not contact me again.
