Riva Group Reports & Reviews (3)

I have been contacted as well. I always trust the gut feeling I get when something seems too good to be true and I spent hours searching online before I sent any resume or other information to them. Luckily I stumbled on this. Thanks for confirming my doubts. I was contacted by a Riva Group . I almost thought it was real because I am in Jamaica and thought it would have been some sort of Jamaica recruiter for the company. The offered a $50/hr salary which is very generous given the currency exchange rate for Jamaican dollars. Below is the information they sent when I initially expressed my interest:

As requested, Attached to this mail is a business description that will let you know more about us at Riva Group.

The also sent a long and elaborate PDF file ( Attached Below) claiming it was a job description.
Please stay safe out there and thanks for saving me from making a very big mistake.

Kelli Roarks Scentsy Im Facebook is part of this scam. Her email is [email protected], also keliroarks@gmail. She is working with David Lack who’s email is davidlack64@gmail but has it under Riva Group. They will email you about a job offer and then ask for money to get equipment. It is a scam. They live in Americus, GA. They will also send a fake check through email that will bounce if you try to deposit it.

I was first reached out to by a recruiter for Riva Group with the email [email protected] claiming to be a recruiter who had found me on linkedin. She told me about the position of a remote company representative which paid $58 an hour (sounded too good to be true). I was on guard but the email she gave me to submit an application if interested sounded legitimate [email protected]. In retrospect the .net ending also should have been a red flag. I submitted my resume and got an interview time. The interview was a chat only interview via skype, which apparently some legitimate companies do sometimes. However after the chat interview I was given the job with no video or call interviews. I was told they would be sending me a check for $300 to cover the first week of training pay and for me to use to pay for the shipment of supplies. I've googled this further and although I could find no evidence of this exact scam it's a known tactic. They did get a copy of my driver's license.
