I RECIEVED A LETTER IN THE MAIL SAYING THEY COULD REDUCE MY MORTGAGE. I CALLED THE NUMBER PROVIDED 1-888-507-6692 SPOKE WITH A MAN THAT SAID HIS NAME WAS JEFFREY SMITH. HE WOULDN'T ANSWER MY QUESTION AS TO WHAT WAS NAME OF THE COMPANY UNTIL I GAVE HIM AN APPROVAL# LISTED ON THE LETTER. I THOUGHT THAT WAS WEIRD AND IT PUT ME ON ALERT SO I ASKED HIM THE NAME OF THE BUSINESS TO WHICH HE KIND OF TRIED TO TAKE AORUND IT. THEN HE GAVE IT TO ME I IMMEDIATELY TOLD HIM I WOULD NEED TO CHECK THIS BUSINESS OUT BEFORE I GAVE MY INFORMATION AND HAND UP. THAT'S WHEN I SEEN THE FRAUD ALERT AND THAT THE BUSINESS WASN'T REGISTERED AND I DECIDED TO LEAVE MY EXPERIENCE INFORMATION.

Received a call from Regency Assistance Group at 714-515-8265, 1100 Town and Country Road, #1250, Orange, CA 92868, offering to do loan modification for my mortgage. I am current on my mortgage payment. I was advised to start to miss payments to establish hardship and to not to communicate my lender directly any more. Their total service fee is over $3,200. I am required to pay the first of 3 installment payments of their service fee ($1,098) when I sign a contract with them to retain their service before they start the modification process to show that I'm serious.
