Redrow PLC Reports & Reviews (8)

I received a text saying a Ms Jean Barnes, and then made an oopsies and claimed to be Ms. Janet. Henderson. He/she claimed they saw my resume on Career Builder (which I never posted on there) and they messaged me with a last name I haven’t used in almost 5 years. They listed a number of jobs I qualified for, which some of them I absolutely did not like CNA (which is not a work from home position) with outrageous pay. The number would call and hang up and demand I pick up. So random. Next thing you know, they were trying to hack my WhatsApp with a “business account.” I knew it was a scam and let them think I was playing into it so I had more info to report. They tried to demand I used Skype messaging, which is a premium paid for service. I said “no.” I told them which app I would use. Next thing you know some man was texting me with stuff taken directly off of their actual website about the company. He asked which positions I would be interested in. He asked me 10 generic questions and hey! I got the job. He then sent a link to have me upload my personal info, to include my SSN, DL and proof of residence. Of course I did not do it. And all night I got messages asking me if I had submitted it. The link was to a form no company would use. I noticed that the person initially texting and then the HR person texting had VERY poor grammar when texting non-copied info. Very unprofessional. And the persons texting me “yelled” at me in all caps when I took to long to respond and would not use Skype and I told him/her how unprofessional that was and they apologized. I have reported this to the actual company. This has happened to me a number of times so I know the game. When I told them I already had a job, they demanded I be online available at 8am Monday, work or not. Ha! Whatever. I feel for people who fall for these scams. I told them up front I would not be giving out any bank information or anything like that and they suddenly said have a nice day. But came back with “we won’t do that.” I think they had to come up with another idea since they knew I was not going to fall for that one. I had already read about their true hiring process and what job hiring sites they use. And how they scam people with this company. I don’t understand how these people continue to get away with it. When I asked for the HR to email me the form, he declined. That’s how you can get their IP address and they can be tracked if not using a good VPN. Red flags from the start. Please do NOT fall for this company unless you try to get hired directly through the company. I have found out there are many scams with this company since US based companies have fraud departments actually tracking down individuals and groups doing this. Technology is great until it falls into the wrong hands for the wrong purposes.

I just went through an online interview with a Mr George Brown.
I was hired after taking their online question/answer test.
They told me that the company would send me a check where I was to keep $100 and purchase the software and office supplies with the rest.
That this is a test of trust.
I immediately googled the company to find out if it were a scam. After being hired by them I declined the offer.
I did not give them any of my personal information. My antennas went up when they asked me how did I want to get paid via direct deposit, wire transfer or paper check. I closed paper check.
They said they were a UK company, another thing that made me suspicious.
Everyone beware of these scammers. If it sounds to true to be real then it is!
If we get them taken down they will only pop back up under a different name.

Got a text from Mrs. Janet Henderson saying she saw my resume on CareerBuilder.com and had an opportunity (work from home job) with Redrow PLC and the pay was $2000 weekly. She explained the company was based out of the UK and was opening up offices in North America. I was hooked up with Michael Lowery on Teams and this whole 3-4 day conversation and interview went on and on. I was offered $30/hr training and then $42.00 per hour as a data entry administrator for Redrow PLC. They sent me a check for $2100 via email, for me to print out and sign and deposit. No exchange of routing #'s or SS # was given to them and I was going to wait for the check to clear to start anything else with him/them and $500 hit our bank first, and my husband got a little leery with this transaction and called the bank...they said they've seen this happening and it was probably a scam. I stopped all conversation with this Michael guy but I guess it was too late. The check didn't clear and I already sent what I thought was in our account $500 to someone via Zelle (Kasha Calhoun). I feel truly stupid and naive and I just don't want this to happen to anyone else. Any help you can give to get this information out to anyone/everyone looking for a job would be helpful, I'm sure. Thank you for your time.

Well, they've hit me too - $500 out of my pocket - stupid me...I wish I would have followed through and said, as soon as I get the full check, THEN, I will Zelle this person. But nope, I fell for it - again, I feel so stupid and now no one is answering me back. I've been sick over this. I'm sorry this has to happen at all.

So I applied through a website and got a response back through email, I was told to contact someone through skype and it seemed sketchy at first cause not only the interview seemed like a automatic robot sending you response but I didn't get to know the person's face or voice. It was weird to me but I wanted to give it a benefit of a doubt and proceeded. I agreed with the Job and then 2 days later I receive two checks from the "company" and was told it was to cover my expensive for the materials I need. I was so unsure about it but I did it to see what would happen. Come to find out that I was only able to get $400 from the checks and sent it to someone who was supposed to provide me the materials. I get a call from my bank to tell me it is a scam and wanted to let me know before anything else happened. Now I am trying to contact the company or whoever is in charge but of course no response, emails are not to be found or doesn't exist and as well as the pho

I received a message offering me a job with an outrageous hourly pay. Through additional text messages I was asked to download an app to do virtual interview. It was a case of something being too good to be true. From previous experience, I was told my paycheck would come in the form of a check but have additional funds for someone else. I was to keep my portion and send the rest elsewhere which was a scam and I’m sure the same would have happened here.

Yeah someone is messaging me now and I do believe it is a scam

Whatever happened to your situation, my friend? I am in the same spot and my bank called it is a scam. Now I am concerned.
