QuickBooks - IMPOSTER Reports & Reviews (1)

Received email from Quickbooks with QuickBooks Logo saying it was time to upgrade our our 2020 desktop version and our old card had expired so it seemed legit. (See attached email) After calling the toll free number, the Indian man explained after I gave him our phone number only, that is was time after our 2 year plan was expiring, it was time to renew. This is also very possible because we moved to QB 2020 two years ago. He gave me prices and was ready to get my card info - very friendly and knowledgeable. Something told me it didn't feel right from the start though. Always trust that spirit inside you saying something is wrong and I'm glad I did! I logged into my Quickbooks and used the customer service number from Quickbooks instead. I called them and they said they only send ONE email a year and it's about payroll services. They said this is happening more often than they can keep up with. The email address had Quicken as the provider and I also learned that Quicken and Quickbooks are NO LONGER a team - they separated two years ago. Beware of this very legitimate email coming from a well known company like Quickbooks. There is a special place in hell for scammers - thieves!
