Received an email as if I was being offered a job from my resume that was posted on Careerbuilders.com. My initial interview was via Skype and I was a little suspicious when the interviewer was via chat and not video. Once my interview was over I received an email with the job description, the benefits, pay rate and if I was interested. Once I accepted the offer I received different task to complete for my training. As I was corresponding with the so called manager- I asked again if we were going to have a video conference and when I would be receiving my on-boarding documents . I was told there was no need for a video conference just yet and my documents would be mailed asap and once received the documents would be discussed. I received a total of three different office task to complete before I received a check written in the amount of $1370.04 for six hours of training and the rest was to go towards purchasing my office equipment. Prior to receiving the check I was asked if my financial institution had mobile banking capabilities.

During the time I was corresponding with this Dr. Horst I was never asked my banking routing/account information. So I thought maybe this could be on the up and up. But when I received that check and was asked for a copy of screenshot of the deposit for documentation purposes and the check had Wachovia and not Wells Fargo. I knew then it was a scam.
