Pro Staffing Co Reports & Reviews (9)

I had similar experiences applying for "ebay" position and for "amazon" position. Different staffing companies - Compass HR Service (George Smith) and Elevate Staffing Co (Savio Silva). First one wanted Scrum Master (SMC) certification and the next one wanted Scrum Product Owner Certification (SPOC). Both times when I went to purchase the class, my banks declined the transaction and I ended up having to jump through hoops to get the transactions completed. I believe this is a scam for purchasing the certifications and there is no real job opening.

First you get a call from "Jessica" describing a position with Amazon that your skills match. After she asks you several questions, she says her colleague "Aaron Mendes" will send you the full job description and contact you. Aaron them tells you the client requires SCRUM certification. he them recommends Learning-Era for the certification. There isn't actually a position open, they are just steering people to purchase from Learning-Era.

- Clermont, FL, USA

Prostaffingco contacted me and said to be representing Amazon.com with a job with a six figure salary. Interview only if I sign up and pay $550 for a online scrum class and provide proof of payment at https://learning-era.com/product/scrum-master-certification-silver-package/ . Found other reports of scam of same nature. Amazon does their own staffing. Prostaffingco address is a shared office space, many phone numbers

Yes, mine was basically the same email. Only showed salary 145k - 155k + 20% fixed bonus.

I received a call from Aaron for a job opportunity with Amazon followed by an email from [email protected] which I just flagged as scam and Gmail removed it from my account before I could export and attach the email here. Aaron told me Amazon required a current or in process Scrum Product Owner certification.

I found a training that weekend available 4 hours away in Atlanta and scheduled it. Aaron indicated Amazon preferred Learning-Era.com certificates, and it cost $699 instead of the $1247 I was paying for the training in Atlanta, GA. The weekend training was kindly refunded and I purchased the Learning-Era.com version and completed the training over the weekend. Had to use the phone app since the web version was limiting me to only chapters 1-2 showing chapters 3-6 required payment. (Phone app got all 6 chapters)

The Technical issues had me talking to Nora Bains as my account rep. . They had assigned me the free version where only chapters 1-2 worked until I had replied to all 3 of their initial emails. When they granted me the full package, then it created a new instance and the old instance still did not show the answers entered via the phone. The training is done via online.vmedu.com with Learning-Era modules.

I did complete all training videos and questions (via phone app) over the weekend. Quality of material was questionable. I made screenshots of issues so they could improve - now I know why.

There are 2 other reports on this site with Aaron Mendes and learning-era.com as well as support account executive Nora Bains. He set my interview with Amazon for next week.

Took the Scrum Fundamentals Certification test today and got SFC certified. Linked it to my LinkedIn account.

Tried to schedule my Scrum Product Owner Certification test and the online.vmedu.com site was down. Online Chat help said it was '"upgrading" to which I replied you don't upgrade in peak times - it had crashed or was removed (don't know yet). Both the app and browser version no longer respond.

I should have done the training in Atlanta, GA.

Found a copy of the email before I marked it as scam:

Received a phone call followed by an email from Aaron Mendes. Accent sounds Indian. He proposed a job offer for Amazon, and then sent an email with a job description (attached). He then asked if I had CSM training and said that if I enrolled in that course, I would be eligible for the job. Said the deadline was today and they were very interested. Provided some links to courses, one of which is learning-era.com. When I said that I could get the certification for free through my employer's programs (*** ***), he said that no employer ever used those certifications. The learning-era.com course is $599. He called back several times throughout the day asking me if I'd applied yet and pressing me to proceed.
