Pro Pools Reports & Reviews (1)

I received a response to a job application on indeed.com on Sunday May 13, 2018. The person said that my resume had been "short listed," and asked me to email him at meeeray9@ gmail.com. I sent an email as a cover letter to the email address on May 14, 2018. On the same day, I received a response from a person calling himself Raymond Wayne stating that in addition to the position that I applied for, he was looking for a personal assistant and said that he was interested in me. He wrote a long email telling me about himself, his humanitarian works, etc., and that he wanted a very honest person to work for him, stating that the assignments would be sent through email. He further asked for my name, address, phone number, age, current job position, and banking information. He asked if I preferred to receive a check or have direct deposit. I responded with some personal information (my name, address, phone number, age, current job position), but wrote that I would only give banking information once we securely established business relations. I was suspicious because he had requested bank info and called the company, Pro Pools. The lady on the phone said that she had received other calls about it and that it was a scam, further stating that the company  had used indeed.com in the past but did not currently have an ad through the service. She also stated that their company credit card had been compromised. I left my name and phone number with her stating that I would be willing to help if she/Pro Pools needed my assistant with the matter. I also reported this to indeed.com on a general form submission. I received another email from the person (Raymond Wayne) today (May 16, 2018) apologizing for the delay in response and congratulating me as being employed as his personal assistant. He has asked me to run some errands, "I want you to run a few errands for me, make a few stops at some Orphanage I frequent while I was in the Town. I need it done this week," also saying, "I have instructed my Financial Manager to send you a Official check which would be sufficient to pay your first week salary which is $520, the rest of the fund would be used to purchase a list of items I would send to you, those items would be mailed to the aforementioned orphanages, you are not obliged to spend any of your own fund to run this errands. The money sent to you will be sufficient to do both. I will send you a tracking number once I receive it from my Finance Manager. The envelop will arrive on 05/17/2018."  He says that he is a freelancer. He asked me to resubmit my personal information to him today. I feel that this should be investigated but have said nothing to alarm the person that I suspect to be attempting this scam in case the authorities need to be notified. I have NOT contacted the police because I have not lost any money and the ad has been removed from indeed.com. However, I have contacted my banking institutions to make them aware of this and to secure my accounts.
