Jail scam. I received a call at 11:41am this today, from a person who had sounded like my son. This person (who I had thought was my son) said that he was in jail due to a car accident involving a pregnant woman that is now in the hospital, due to a DUI and I needed to call his attorney. I called the attorney's phone number provided, by the person posing as my son. The attorney named "David Bernstein," told me to call the Springfield County Jail with a specific number that he provided to me, which I called. After calling the 'Springfield County Jail', I called the attorney back. The attorney had told me to send $15,000 via coinmover for bail and his office would send me the QR code via text message. I sent $2,900 via coinmover and later had received a text message from coinmover saying "you are most likely being spammed." I never sent the remaining amount requested. I finally spoken with my son in-person and he had confirmed that I was being scammed.
