POF offers both a paid and free membership for their online dating services. After having an account with them for years that had recently been deleted, I just opened a new one with all conditions of the company being the same. After a few days logging in and out, I found my password was not working. The website gives you the option of either resetting password or retrieving a forgotten one. A link is supposed to be emailed to you to do either. After numerous attempts nothing was sent and I was finally able to get someone on the phone. I was told by two customer support people that the conditions have changed, it's no longer free and the only way I can get back in is to give them a credit card number. They also told me my account has been hacked by someone in Ohio but they won't share how they know - it's because they are technicians. They both also wanted full remote access to both my phone and computer; "this was the only way" to see what the problem is, but if I upgrade my account they will let me back into it. They completely avoid the question of why can't I just get the reset link. When I requested the account just be deleted, they both hung up on me. I know at least 10 people who are all able to log in and out of there.

My son signed up with my credit card. They took out extra payment. We called to cancel and get money back. They didn't speak good English we were on the phone for 3 hrs. They took control of my phone took photos of his state id. Opened a coinbase acct in his name. They got into my Amazon account and tried to purchase a 100.00 gift card and charge it to my credit card. Amazon stopped the order and sent me an email. Now I feel I need to cancel all my information that was linked to my phone all my accounts and passwords so they don't clean me out. I told my son he should be worried that they have his state id information who knows that they could do with that. And after dealing with all of this I never got my initial money back.

I'm a victim of scamming me out of 500 dollars for google play gift card to fix a problem that I was trying to resolve from another scamming issue they told me I need to put 500 dollars on a gift card so that way they can put a blocker on my plenty of fish account
