I was approached at my fron door by a fello wearing a safety vest, His van was parked out front -- it bore magnetic business signs. He informed me that one of his workers, while working aloft on a nearby house, noticed what appeared to be a squirrel entry whole gnawed in my roof shingle near the base of the chimmey. He said he's return the next day with a ladder and an assistent go check it all out. The [censored]'t went up and ostensibly made a photo of the damage to show me. Then I was told rotten wood was then found, and the chimney itself had become reportedly unstable. Repairs could be tended to today even. A $2500 repair job -- that very day. More spot of rot were detected; in fact the entire roof was deemed to be 'spongy' in many places. And when entering a crawl space, an instrument measured widespread dampness -- or so it would seem. This thereby would necessitate a new roof, which would cost $18,500. My roof is only 10 years old. I left it off saying I would never consider committing to such an expensive job then and there and one the spot; especially in that theor claims had become increasingly suspicious and embellished with a lot of blarney. They summarily packed up and quickly skeddadled.
