Vision Computers Llc send email to me they are going to charge $449.99 to my credit card I do not order anything from them please block those charges

All the same, only Pay Pal informs about the transaction quite differently.

12/29/2020, My husband received a message in his SPAM folder from "PayPal" regarding the order of a computer from Vision Computers. The same message as posted above. The phone number in the message is NOT PayPal's phone number!
I called it and the person I spoke with put me on hold and I could hear the clicking, which told me he was trying to backtrace my phone number. I hung up and then called Vision Computers in Norcross, GA. The gentleman in sales there told me they were have been getting several call regarding this email and to please ignore it as it was a SCAM. And, get this, my husband DOES NOT have a PayPal account. I am making this complaint because I received a 12/12/2020 "[email protected] 9:30 AM (11 hours ago)" email message from "PayPal", and from my Trash notifications box stating that I had made a purchase of $449.99 which is false!

The said PayPal's email details of the email appear below for easy reference. I checked my Activity page for PayPal Bills payments and my Bank accounts and found no trace of that $449.99 transaction. Since the following PayPal's message indicates,

"This message seems dangerous...Similar messages were used to steal people's personal information. Avoid clicking links, downloading attachments, or replying with personal information...Looks safe."

Since I did not authorize PayPal to honor any bill payment transaction with Vision Computers llc., Besides, did not click links, downloading attachments, or replying with personal information and PayPal's message claims "Looks safe". Therefore, I believe that PayPal has identified the scam and already taken action on my behalf. I will not call the said "customer help desk Dial +1 (833) 219-5715" number as it could/maybe a dangerously suspicious line too that may have direct links with Vision Computers llc.! Besides. PayPal has already alerted, I should "avoid clicking links, downloading attachments, or replying with personal information."

Submitted, please for your immediate attention and consideration.

Thank you in anticipation.

I've also received 2 emails from Vision Computers llc claiming they charged $449.99 to my Paypal to an email not connected to my Paypal so I know it's a scam. The email also misspelled the word received as "recived." Email almost looks legitimate but has the wrong Paypal logo and isn't the standard Paypal format.

I received a message from "PayPal" stating I had made a purchase of $449.99 which is false. The help desk # is 833-216-4565. I sent a copy to the real Paypal customer service. I hope they go after these guys. Dec 7 2020 was the day I was suppose to have ordered this.

As with the rest of the issues I recieved the same email on 11/22 stating that I sent a payment of 449.99 to Vision Computers LLC. I checked my paypal acct and nothing has posted.
This email was in my spam folder so I know this is fraud. also the number to contact is 1 866 645 8972.

I received an e-mail stating that a made a transaction with Activevision Computers LLC
in the amount of $449.99. Says the order # 856342.I have not or have never bought anything from these scam artists. Now I can't get in touch with Paypal to dispute this charge.I am certainly NOT a happy camper! The number posted is 855-293-7487. When I called it, the recording said this was no longer a working number. This makes me SICK!

I just received an email thanking me for an order I placed with Activevision Computers LLC for the amount of 449.99 which I NEVER asked for. I want to know whom and how they got my name and whom placed this order because I sure in hell didn't. BTW my name is Maggie and I don't work in Billing and I do have gmail. what the hell

+2

I also received similar two emails:

one from PayPal/Activevision Computers llc. with a charge of $449.99 and Help Desk number to a toll free number is also 1 (855) 293-7487. Note: There was a misspelled of the word "recived" as scam emails often do.

One from WINDOW SUPPORT CENTER, the title of email is "Maggie from Billing Department", charge amount $449. Note: Maggie email account is from gmail. No business should have personal gmail account.

On 8.28.20 I, too, received a legitimate-looking email from (supposedly) PayPal for $449 to Activevision Computers. This is very scary, given the report by the person's story above. Is there not ANYONE who can go after them and get them shut down?

+1

Received a similar email, but the amount in my email was slightly different: $449.99 and they changed the help desk number to a toll free number: + 1 (855) 293-7487

DO NOT call the number.
DO NOT click on any links (if present) in ANY paypal email that receive.
Note: I get several PayPay emails a week, with different scenarios...all false.

To verify that your account is safe:

- Open a separate internet window (Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Safari, Microsoft Edge, etc.).

- Enter the PayPal url directly: https://www.paypal.com
(for those that do not know, "https" at the beginning of the address is important. You should see this on any web page that asks for personal information. It is a more secure and encrypted way to send information versus using webpages starting with "http")

- Log into your PayPal account and view any recent activity. I am 100% sure you will not see this purchase in there.

- Can also check your credit cards to verify that these charges were not made.

- Can also check your credit history to be sure no credit cards or accounts were opened, that you did not personally do.

Thank you all for sharing your stories. Hope others learn from this!

My mother also just received an email for the same linkage and amounts. She, too, has never used PayPal nor this Activevision Computer. I explained it was probably a phishing scam from the very beginning and warned her not to click on anything within the email and she hasn't. Nothing else has transpired as of yet however she only just received the email this morning.

On 8/5/20 I received a scam email from 2 companies. I have never done business with PayPal or Activevision Computers llc, however, my concern is that Activevision Computers llc entered into a multiyear relationship with Google on 1/24/20. Google has a lot of personal info of mine as well as other people shopping online.

Received and email letting me know I was about to be charged a $400 renewal fee in 24 hours unless I canceled, which I could do through their helpline (210) 966-9707. Next day I received an email from PayPal with a 'billing' charge for $449.00 to the imposter company. It looks very convincing and seeing how the 'timing' was right, I called to cancel. BIG MISTAKE! They will try and access your computer and then your bank account and then they make a 'fake' account of your bank on your screen and try and convince you took thousands of $ out of their own account in a transfer they make you believe is happening($4,000.00 in my case). Then they transfer you to their management and, well, I don't know what happens after that. I fell for it, and they hacked my computer and at the end I got super suspicious so I logged on to my separate computer to check my account and it was at it's correct balance(even though my laptop - the computer I was using during this scam showed a $4,000.00 increase in my account balance). I knew it was a scam. Hung up. He called back, and I told him I was talking to my bank manager. I went to the bank (about 10 min away) told them what happened, and they closed the account on the spot. This scam takes place in India, but all the cells have American Cell numbers from American States. I'm still redoing all my passwords and getting new accounts.
