*** received a robo phone call from 305-748-4461 claiming to be from the Social security office stating that she has a complaint against her social security number.

These people keep calling about my “2015 Pontiac Grand Prix” which they don’t even make Grand Prixs that new and I told the lady to stop calling because I don’t own one and whoever is calling my phone needs to stop. I need to be put on the do not call list. Then she told me that I need to stop being a “snotty little b***”.the guy who picked up next time I called said he would find out who said it to me and would fire them on the spot. He also took me off of the call list and apologized. This still doesn’t excuse this behavior! How unprofessional!!

Two and a half weeks ago, I was having problems with my computer. So, I Googled keyword: Apple. The results gave me what I thought was a legitimate Apple number. I called the number and told the person my problem, in which she replied that I have a virus called 'Koobface". She then transferred me over to what she called an "IP security team". There I talked with a guy by the name of Joseph and he instructed me to download Anydesk software so that he could get inside my computer to run some tests. He ran the tests and concluded that I for sure had the virus but told me that it could be fixed for a fee, but the only payment that they would accept is prepaid Target cards. He went on to tell me that they have an agreement with Target and are commissioned based on the sales of these Target cards. Joseph then told me that a $15,000 payment in Target cards was needed for the services, and once my computer was cleaned and the international security was installed, I would get the entire amount back minus a few hundred dollars for their services. A few days go by and they called me back to tell me that all services had been rendered, and I would be getting my refund check via Fedex the following day. A few more days go by and Joseph called me back to tell me that my check is on hold due to a customs hold. He went on to say that this customs hold was for check verification against my name, however, to get the check released, customs was requiring me to put up another $2,100 refundable deposit which, once cleared, would be sent via Fedex overnight. A few more days go by and Joseph calls me again to tell me that the check has cleared customs, however another $4,100 refundable deposit would be needed to handle a state tax verification before the check could be sent out. At this point, I was nearly $19,000 in debt as a result of my madness and desperation to get my money back. The amazing thing about this whole scam is they all sound very professional and are contactable all the time.. They even have the same Apple music you hear when put on telephone hold which suckered me even deeper. When they call me, the phone ID on my phone would show Islip, NY and Poughkeepsie, NY. Of course their IDs were probably the result of a VPN being used. Every employee I talked to had Indian accents. They claimed they were a subsidiary of Apple with legit apple Ids. Again, these people are accessible by calling 845-834-4323. They always answer the phone and when put on hold you get the "Please wait" voice along with the official APPLE hold music. When they finally do answer the phone, they would always ask "who is working with me" which meant they wanted the name a specific agent. If you can't provide them with this information, they freak out and will not put you through. Again, if you call this number, you need to tell them you are working with a specific agent, and provide them with a name! I am still in communication with them, but they refuse to give my money back. They are now telling me that I need an additional $2,700 to get my check. It's a hopeless, endless loop when dealing with these people. They keep scamming for more. Shame on me for falling for such a scam.

Call daily (sometimes multiple times a day). When I answered and told them they were calling a company number (my employers cell phone) the guy said, "To bad you answered we are just going to keep calling." then hung up on me.

I called the number back and a woman, who spoke very fast and soft so that I couldn't hear everything she was saying, said that the person who called me was Robert Adams. She said they were a tax debt collector.when I asked who they were I couldn't hear what she was saying. She then transferred the call.

This guy immediately starts appologizing to me and assured me he would look into it. Not once did he tell me they were a debt collector and any information would be used for the purpose of collecting the debt. He then asked me to call him back after he has had time to review the call.

The number is 614-441-6144

On a reverse look up the company name was listed as level 3 communications

I did not give them any information and have since blocked the number for the cell phone
