Hypoallergenic Fluffy Kittens Reports & Reviews (12)

I went to the website listed here for over a week and thought I was purchasing a Russian Blue kitten. I had never worked with a breeder and should have seen the red flags. I sent them a payment through Zelle and have filed a claim to recall it. They used the name Jose Fernandes. I realized something was wrong when I asked to pick it up and they said I couldn't due to Covid. I then noticed their website had been taken down and found this scam report. I have a cousin who is a police officer who is investigating for me and I am filing claims with the Better Business Bureau in addition to the police report.

They are now using this email. Thankfully I read all of these experiences and realized it was a scam. I asked to do a zoom in order to verify that it wasn't a scam and they refused saying they did not do zoom or facetime but could send me a video of the kitten and say my name or a photo of the kitten with my name on it. i also found it super strange how pushy they were about just getting it over with and the fact that they were replying to my emails late at night (midnight) when they were supposedly in the same area as me. Fuerthermore, even though they asked me some questions, they were barely concerned about my answered and immediately were satisfied. They are definitely scammers, further another red flag was the fact that they charged the same amount to ship to CA (supposedly the same state they were located) vs MA which is across the country. This made no sense to me and was certainly a red flag.

Hi all this are fake well am sorry all this happened to you guys its really touching and heart broken but this people you all are talking about are innocent of all this accusation as some people some where are using their website to scam people. I have bought kittens from this breeder and I had no issue .

Really, well tell us your story because it all seems super sketchy to me. And your comment is also sketchy, you are being very vague. Who did you buy from, when, what email did they use, etc. Also... your comment doesn't make any sense, no offense. But I would love to understand what you are trying to say.

On 9/30/2020, we agreed to pay $650 for a Russian Blue kitten, plus $200 for shipping on Oct 1st. We sent Kelvin Doh $500 via Zelle (Account: [email protected]) +$350 via Venmo (Account: @kelvindoh). They used the email address: healthyfluffykittens@@gmail.com and signed the Cat Sales Contract “Alas Berenice.”

On 10/1, the seller said that the kitten was ready to be shipped, but that the shipping company Global Express Carriers (http://global-express-carriers.com/) needed a “refundable $950 deposit" for a special airline approved shipping crate for the kitten due to Covid restrictions. We agreed to split the cost with them and we sent them another $400 via Venmo, which would be returned to us that evening, upon delivery of the kitten. Soon after, we got an email request for another “refundable” $1500 insurance certificate. This email included a threat that if we didn't get this certificate, the kitten would be placed on quarantine for the next 3 weeks, and that we might be liable for pet abuse. We refused to pay any more money to them.
- The seller said he decided to call off the shipping and said that he would pick up the kitten from the shipper, and get her to us via ground delivery the next day.

On 10/2, the seller asked for another $500 to ship the kitten to us. We declined, since our purchase price already included shipping. We decided to call off the sale and requested all of our money back. The seller kept making excuses and delays. We repeatedly asked for our money back, and they have not returned anything to us. They are now not answering their phone or returning texts.

I was also scammed by this company, I was asked to pay via CashApp but for some reason it was being rejected (I'm assuming now this was due to so many fraudulent complaints). I ended up paying the "breeder" half in Amazon gift cards & half via PayPal. I experienced the same upselling scam from the shipping company, who I also paid $400 before they tried to tell me I'd need to send an additional $250 because they were "out of the small kennel's". It's unfortunate it took so long in the process for me to comprehend this was all an elaborate scam, but here we are. I reported the breeder to the Better Business Bureau, as well a report & refund request from the Internet Crime Complaint Center. I've pretty much given up hope of ever receiving this money back, sadly. I just hope no one else ever has to go through this whole process.

His name as he told me is Ramos Castillo and his wife is Berenice Nathalie Alas, they are a family operation and as I later found out scam people for a living by selling kittens online though their two website domains. They also use a fictitious pet moving company Merchant Pet Movers and ask for more money as "shipping costs have increased all of a sudden" and "crates costs more now due to covid". They swear and claim that they are legit, however, they will not ship you a kitten, nor give you a refund. They did even provide a small video for me with my name and my kitten name. They send more pictures of the kitten other then the ones on the website. This is all a scam to gain your trust. When sending them money they ask to send it via CashApp or Zelle or MoneyGram and gave me a completely different name and an email of David Watts [email protected].
I called the police and made a report and the bank as well. Not sure if the $800 i paid will be refunded. They are not just stealing and lying to people all across the nation but also destroying children’s dreams of having a pet. My daughter is crying over this kitten situation each day since this happen and it breaks my heart as I can not get another cat breed due to allergies.

we were searching for a kitten online and contacted a seller we found though a pet site. After several conversations and googling their company name we decided to purchase the kitten. The wrote up a contract and notified us that they accepted payment through Zelle and cash app. They also stated they would take Amazon or Walmart gift cards. This made me suspicious and I asked my boyfriend to contact them again. We renegotiated the terms and gave a deposit with the balance due once the kitten was delivered. We paid the deposit via Zelle with the understanding that shipping arrangements would be made the next day. the next day, they claimed to make arrangements and even sent us a picture of the kitten in a cat crate in the front seat of a car. The kitten looked very much like the one we had picked out so we didnt think this was a scam. Shortly afterwards, we were sent a snapshot of a shipping docket from Merchant Pet Movers. I googled the transportation company and could not find any information other than a couple of posts on scampulse.com and (https://www.scampulse.com/merchant-pet-movers-reviews) where other buyers were scammed and one post specifically mentioned the breeder Hypoallergenic Fluffy Kittens. Shortly after my discovery, the breeder sent me a text that we needed to pay $350 for a COVID cat crate before the company would transport our kitten- similar to what the other reviewers mentioned - except we did not get a call from Merchant Pet Movers. We immediately called the breeder and explained that was not the terms of our agreement, he agreed and said he would send us a text in 10 minutes with the shipping details. We never received the text and he no longer returned our messages and sadly we never received the kitty we were so exited to bring into our home.

Hypoallergenic fluffy kittens is a fake cat breeder purporting to sell Russian Blue, Sphynx, and Siamese kittens. I corresponded with a person for a week via text and email about a kitten. The phone number on the website was defunct and they texted me from a different number. They refused to do a video chat for me to meet the kitten and instead sent a different pic of a cat with my name and the date on a piece of paper in the photo. They did not have any of the kittens from the website available. They want the deposit paid through Zelle (which has no fraud protection). Well, because our family wanted a cat so badly I stupidly paid the $300 deposit through Zelle. The next day the seller texted me all day saying he was arranging the shipping and that the shipper would contact me. When the shipper (Merchant Pet Movers) contacted me, they asked for an additional $450 for a Covid-approved carrier (refundable, of course), with payment through Zelle. We contacted the airline the cat was supposedly flying on (Delta) and found out that not only do they not require special crates, but they aren't even shipping animals in cargo right now. I replied to the seller that I would not pay the additional shipping charge as it wasn't in our contract, and that I would come pick up the cat from his house instead. He asked for an additional $200 to hold the cat for a few days. At that point, I told him that I believed he was scamming me and would be involving the police.

I had the same experience with this scam business. I paid a $300 deposit after corresponding with the "seller" about a Russian Blue kitten. There were already some red flags (the photo of the cat they sent me wasn't the same as the ones on the website, I couldn't find any reviews of the seller online, etc.) but I was also able to call and speak to a person on the phone, so I thought it might be OK. This was my first experience trying to buy a purebred cat so I didn't know what to expect even though I did hear about people being scammers.

I paid the deposit through Zelle. The next day the seller starting texting me that he was making the shipping arrangements. He sent me a pic of a Russian Blue kitten in a carrier in a car's front seat so it would look legitimate (also not the same cat from the earlier photo, I realized later). Then he texted me a slip of paper with the shipping service name on it, a seat assignment on a flight, and my address, and said the shipper would be contacting me.

The shipper called me and sent me an email saying that they just needed an additional $450 deposit for a "US-approved Covid carrier" and that it would be refunded upon delivery of the kitten. This shipper was Merchant Pet Movers and they sent the email through a fake uShip account. We hung up with them and started googling, called Delta to see if this Covid carrier was a real airline requirement, and it was NOT.

I texted the seller and said we were not going to pay for the shipping, and I would come pick up the kitten at his house instead. He said we needed to pay an additional $200 to hold the cat until next week. At that point I told him I would be filing a police report for fraudulent business activity.

On 9/10/2020 I put a $300 deposit down on a kitten. I did this by using the app 'Cash app" on my iphone. I drove to the address texted to me. The address is 5841 S. Bank Road Crescent City, Ca 95531. I drove to the above address and there were no kittens. Instead the resident had previously filed police reports of other people coming to collect kittens, puppies, or birds. He did not know why his address was being used. I reported the scam to the Crescent City police department on 9/10/2020. Prior to paying I had searched the internet for possible scams using the web address. I also looked for pet scams in Crescent CIty, California. There were no warnings posted. As the website and the communications I had with them had been professional, I paid the deposit. I do not want this to happen to anyone else!

Kitten Scam - tried to purchase a Russian Blue Kitten. They requested payment through Zelle or Cash App. I paid them, they said they would ship the kitten the next day. Then they told me there would be an additional charge for a special crate because of Covid 19. The shipper contacted me and said it would be an additional $600-$700 for the crate. They said it was refundable but would only accept payment via Bitcoin through Cash App. That's when I knew something wasn't right. I contacted the Kitten seller and they said they weren't a scam - I asked for my money back and they never responded. I submitted a fraud claim through my bank.
