I have been looking to buy a puppy for a while now. I came across this website https://healthyminidoxiesforyou.com and it seemed too good to be true. At first I believed it was totally legit. They had a phone number, they were texting me, and they were emailing me. They even sent pictures and videos of the dog I was interested in...which I assume were maybe just random videos they found online! It got weird when I told them I was serious about purchasing a dog and started asking questions. They weren't able to answer many of my questions and would just ignore things I would ask. They also never introduced themselves of gave me their name which was weird because almost every other breeder I had talked to gave me their name and introduced themselves. All of their offers seemed to good to be true considering I have been looking to find a dachshund for months. Final straw was when I called to ask more questions. A man picked up. He had couldn't answer any of my questions about AKC registration or genetic testing and at one point when I asked him to email me a photo of the registration he hung up on me. That made it clear he was a good old scam artist! Good thing I didn't give my money to him! He was asking for payment via Zelle. I want people to know if they come across prices and offers for dogs that seem too good to be true, they most likely are. The website was super perfect and everything looked and seemed legit! Vet these breeders before giving money away. This business also claimed to be located in Delaware. The man I spoke to had an Indian accent. I've heard dog breeder scams are at an all-time high due to the COVID pandemic for some reason! Be careful dog lovers!
