Golden Gate Capital Reports & Reviews (16)

They send a generic email from a Rob Hill or Dalton Whistler. They claim you will need to fill out employment documentations before they even tell you your job duties which consist of a company agreement, a W-4 where they capture all your personal information including social and date of birth. In addition, when I researched this company, it’s been closed for over 2 years and to make matters worse, they use a Gmail account for communication. What company does that? It’s a total scam and I called them out on it in the Telegram they insisted I install and this is the response I got: ‘ ???’ . FAKE, FAKE, FAKE...don’t fall for it! I’m also reporting them to the BBB

Similar experience to the previous posts. Received phone calls and pressure to contact via telegram. The person's name is a legitimate employee of the actual golden gate capital firm. Be cautious of visiting/clicking.

Subject: JOB OFFER/ONLINE INTERVIEW

I applied for this job on Facebook and they sent me an email on Monday and I just today remembered to do the interview with them. They gave a name to contact on Hangout app named Danny Gilbert and they “interviewed” me and immediately hired me. Told me they were going to send me a check to purchase my equipment and told me I needed to buy other stuff and asked for Cashapp and I told them I won’t be able to take the job because I looked up they were a scam.

These text messages from them: (too good to be real)

Your resume was received and has been reviewed by our online recruitment team. You have been selected to undergo an interview with the hiring manager for our available positions and you are required to kindly respond with a "YES" to this message to confirm your interest in proceeding with the job The pay is $35.00 per hour during full working hours and the training is $20.00 and you will be getting your payment weekly or bi-weekly…..This is strictly an online work, where you can choose to work from anywhere of your choice...Do you have any issue with that?

Even though I had suspicions it was a scam I went through the "interview" process to see what would happen and in the off chance I was wrong. But no, it ties with what all of you are saying. It doesn't help that it's next to impossible to contact Golden Gate Capital (which does look to be operating still) and let them know this is happening.

I just received an email this morning after applying last night. As soon as I read how much they paid per hour I got suspicious, and the fact that the company is based in California and I'm in Washington state. I thought, well maybe this is a remote job and they pay really well. So I downloaded hangouts which the email said was how they were going to contact me. As soon as I did, I had a bunch of sex chats pop up. Eeeek! Not my thing. So I did some more research. I came across this site and saw the exact email I relieved. Now I'm getting emails asking if I received the 1st email. This is shameful to do during a pandemic. I am looking for a real job and have no time for scams.

SCAM SCAM SCAM. This company should be ashamed of itself taking advantage of people especially during a pandemic when millions are out of jobs. If you accidentally apply to this Golden Gate Capital Inc job on SnagaJob- DO NOT REACH OUT TO THE HIRING MANAGER. It's all a scam, once I saw that it's just generic responses I knew it was too good to be true. Blocked.

I was contacted by this company about an employment opportunity. I had applied for customer service jobs on indeed.com. I figured I was getting a reply back. I was asked to download Telegram app and conduct an interview through there. That should have been a huge red flag. After the fake interview I researched the company. Rob Little's name also showed up on another scam report. I am so glad I researched it. They were going to send out a check to pay for the programs which was another red flag.

This company sent an email in the same as the others looking for customer service for $22 per hr work from home and then proceeds to ask questions this company is a damn scam and so sad to see during covid when ppl actually need work

Just received a very vague email this morning stating that I need to interview with a manager on a app called Telegram. After some cut and paste questions I was asked to cash app 200 to a random account for equipment. Everything about the process hit me as sketchy from that point.

Person contacts you through email stating you have been accepted for a data entry job at Golden Gate Capital. They then would like to talk (text) with you on Google Hangout. After going through an interview process, they ask for your address to send you a check they want you to deposit and then send them the information to send to vendors to have equipment sent to your house to do said job. The check is not from the Golden Gate Capital but from another company. I called the company on the check and they verified it is not a valid check. Upon further research, Golden Gate Capital has been out of business for 2 years!

Some months ago I had applied on Snagajob for a job as an Ecommerce Customer Representative. I got no word back but then some months after I got an email from what was supposedly "Golden Gate Capital". The offer was $22/hr. I had to text an employee code and text with a hiring manager named "Martin Gayle". I though it was legit while going through the process of the interview which was conducted via Google Hangouts. What lead me to finding out it was a scam was the following: Inconsistent grammar errors, copy and paste text descriptions of the job, Not answering my questions. This person whoever they are will send you a startup check but after seeing the reports here on Scam Pulse on a Golden Gate Capital it matched up. I just blocked them and will be reporting them elsewhere.

The email stated that the hiring office reviewed my resume, and would like to interview me. In order to do so I needed to install Google hangouts to conduct an online interview. They offered me the Administrative Assistant position, and would be sending a sign-on check. Shortly after they would be sending me all the office equipment needed to do the job. My wife and I got concerned so we looked over everything later on, and notice a lot of red flags that stood out. I was supposed to contact the hiring manager this morning but that’s not happening.

Thank you for this!
I applied to a Facebook Job for an Administrative Assistant. And when the person responded back with Golden Gate Capital I felt it was a little fishy.
I've since blocked them, and am looking for employment elsewhere.

Scammer contacted me for employment through indeed.com. After being “hired”, scammer then sent fraudulent check to be deposited into my account and instructed me to withdraw majority of the check. Scammer sent “work forms” stating that the business was ScamPulse.com accredited, while the actual ScamPulse.com website stated otherwise.

Employment/Fake Check

Was contacted via text message and invited to talk via *** ***. Was then interviewed for a job offering then was told I would be mailed a check and was to use the money to buy supplies to start working. They also wanted access to my phone carrier account, but when I told them no they backed down.
