My husband and I applied for Global Entry. The website came up first under Google search. We provided our passport numbers and credit card details

- Des Plaines, IL, USA • Apr 04, 2024

Their website purports to be a representative of the United States Customs and Border Protection Agency in its efforts to get the victim to apply for Trusted Traveler Programs (TSA precheck, Global Entry etc.) through them. They dont ask or do anything other than pass the information along to the CBP. In the process they charge the victim almost 3 times the amount charged by the government for the same services that can be done by the consumer.

The payment went to a destination in Brazil.

I tried to renew my Global Entry application at the real US government website and evidently my information was hacked. They hacked my email address and sent email saying my application was under review and to provide additional information. I am worried my identity has been stolen also

I tried to apply for Global Entry and fell prey to a 3rd party scammer website. I submitted my passport information, drivers license, DOB, residence from the past 5 years, employment from the past 5 years, countries visited in the past 5 years, etc. I realized after I submitted all of this information that this website was a scam when they asked for a $150 processing fee. I did not submit my CC.

I put in all the information as it seemed legit, so my husbands social, passport #, drivers license, etc. But it asked for more money than I knew was needed Now I am fearful that his identity can be stolen and I want to protect it but how? Can you advise?

Thought I was applying for Global Entry via Department of Homeland Security. It turns out that this company charges a fee as a facilitator. When attempting to contact (via contact button), it states that website can't be shown due to high volume (RED FLAG FOR ME!)
