June 4th 2022, "Windows Defender" send me an onscreen Security Breach ALERT and my access to the internet locked up. I was very suspicious but I called the provided number 877-932-6731 and spoke to Jason Harrison who confirmed his role. He surveryed my computer and found pages of junk, errors, warnings, spyware and malware and that most of the computer's built-in security programs were turned off. He forwarded me to the cleaning and repair team supervisor Nicholas Campbell who showed me the steps they had to perform to reverse all the problems. He quoted several price options for their security service (1 year, 2 year, and 4 year) plus a Senior Citizen package for life. I bought the Senior Citizen lifetime network security package for $3,497.85.
Once a month I had to call Help and service at 1-888-630-7937 or 1-888-238-1602 They ask for my "secret" customer code. With that information they do a remote connection to my computer and begin their cleaning and updating. Everything seemed to be going well each month until June 24th, 2023. I called them at 888-630-7037 and had a live confrontation over the phone and complained that the last 3 times I called in for my monthly update, the man who answered my call told me the technician would return my call shortly. They didn't call me back. I tried several times to contact them through their website it replied "No Such Domain".
The man I confronted about this problem (heavy East Indian accent) took a VERY long time tolocate my account, but eventually he appeared to be running my monthly service. The action graphics that appear on the screen move quickly from chart and graphs very quickly but my heart sunk because I now had no trust at all in their service. I felt like one who might be watching their whole hard drive being erased. I didn't think there was anything I could do. A month later I called for service again and the phones worked, the technician called me within 10 minutes and did his job. Over the last several months they have "improved" their communication protocol. I no longer need to sit through 30 minutes of watching an uninterpretable screen. They let me leave my desk to do other things. Later, I would get an email notification that my service is complete and the tech no longer appears to control my screen.
Today April 26th, 2024 I was trying to install a new HP ENVY 6455e printer. When I hit a wall, I called the HP service https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/hp-envy-6000e-all-in-one-printer-series/210...
I couldn't manage HP's instructions by myself so I gave their tech access to my desktop. He discovered I had no Security software at all, and he couldn't identify or find any evidence of the company GeekHubIPSecurity. He DID discover dozens and dozens of "stopped" programs and apps. He said 60% of my system is "Stopped". We were unable to install my new printer until I clear up what is wrong with my drivers. Looks like I am a hook, line and sinker victim of a GeekHubIPSecurity

I paid over $1500.00 for a security to my computer and then only 6 months later my entire computer was consumed by Trojans and worms which they told me it was because my computer wasn’t encrypted And would cost me over $5000.00 to get encrypted. They do not call you when they say they will and do not protect your computer in your regards. I would never recommend this company for anything that has to do with your protection or interests. When I refused the $5000.00 plus to encrypt my computer the very next day they took control of my computer and totally rendered it useless. I have a new computer with all the malware and encryption for about $500.00. Buyer beware do not involve yourself with Greek Hub!

The following is a report on my being a victim of a tech support security scam which first occurred on Monday, June 27, 2022. After hitting a link on the internet, my computer froze with a scary visual and auditory signal. I called the number for support (888-238-1602, 888-630-7937). Talked to Geek Hub IT Security. I allowed them to have access to my computer. He then indicated that my IP address was being used by others who he could identify as those involved in child pornography. I panicked and agreed for him to fix my PC and wrote a check for services that was scanned and sent electronically. The next day I realized I was scammed based on several facts. There were no reviews on this company on the internet. Also, two friends who are computer literate said they it was a scam. One friend showed me a ScamPulse.com article describing a scam exactly like mine. I also learned that the programs that they claimed to install could have been handled by the software already installed on my Windows PC. I then stopped payment on the check and followed the advice of Microsoft on-line help on keeping my data safe. I then called the company back to cancel my service. I talked to someone in their billing department who bullied me and threatened me. I was then harassed with multiple phone calls to both me and my wife. The harassment stopped when I mentioned in an E-mail to them that I filed a formal report with the police department and will be reporting the scam to the BBB, Microsoft, and FTC, and if they wanted to talk further it would have to be with my lawyer. The harassment stopped. I then went to a local reputable computer repair company to take the proper steps to secure my equipment.
