This happened a couple of years ago. I'm just reporting it now because I didn't know how to report it. It's still a problem because I get calls periodically threatening to take money from my bank account.

I was on my computer and suddenly a loud alarm went off and there was a big red warning sign on my screen. I tried everything and couldn't get rid of it. I finally called the number on the warning and spoke to someone who said he was a Microsoft technician. I'm not an [censored] about these things (usually) and asked a lot of questions. But he was very good at making it sound like he was actually from Microsoft. The bottom line was that he said I could purchase protection against harmful viruses and malware and it would only cost $164. Stupidly I gave him my bank information, paid the $164, and the alarm magically disappeared from my screen.

A year later I got a phone call from these people saying I owed then $7000 and they were going to take it out of my bank account. Of course, I immediately changed all of my accounts so they never got a penny. But I keep getting calls from them from different phone numbers telling me I owe them money and they're going to take it from my account. Sometimes the caller is a male and sometimes a female. They all have Indian accents. The phone # I've reported for them is the last one they called me from.

I don't believe they can ever get into my account. My bank has an extremely effective anti-fraud unit. But these people are very slick and are probably conning a lot of people out of a lot of money.

I just received a call from these [censored]s . I let he call go to voicemail and they said they we are
deducting $8000.00 from my checking account to renew the service maintenance on my computuer. They must think I have an IBM mainframe! I called the number back from another phone and used an [censored] accent ( I felt like playing)and said I didn't have maintenance service. The man said yes you have had an agreement since 2018. I said no no I don't have. He said I can see you do have ( remember I used a different phone than the one he called). I said I no have computer...I only have tablet. He said ok ma'am we'll cancel your service. Too Funny...but they must get some takers or they wouldn't be making calls.
Be careful

I got a voicemail from "Geed Advisor" saying I owed $1,000 and if i didn't pay it immediately they were going to deduct $1,000 from my checking account for computer protection. Don't give ANY information to them! I still don't understand how my number was given to them since I took it off the list.

My mother received a call and text about owing 8,000.00 for services from 2018-2022 it was 1599.99. She had not paid any if the years. She asked for an invoice and received one. When I got on the phone and asked for an explained of the services they provided for that amount and what proof did he have that she agreed besides the typed signature he hung up and did not call back. The name he used was Victor Ray and the email was [email protected]. The numbers are 1-310-299-5127 and 844-480-0246. Be careful!

IF YOU WISH TO MAKE ANY CHANGES ON YOUR ACCOUNT KINDLY GET IN TOUCH WITH US. GEEK ADVISOR 1-844-480-0246

I have NEVER had an account with these people, or hired them for any reason at all. I have carefully duplicated the message. It is poorly written and has misspellings.

I received a message on my answering machine that an automatic renewal charge would kick in to the amount of 999.98 cents. To confirm call them back. I called and talked to a woman that identified herself as Mandy. After telling her I didn't remember purchasing anything from them and to cancel any renewal she wanted me to open my computer so she could remove the program. that is when I knew it was a scam and she just wanted access to the computer. Please be careful!!! Never give anyone you don't know access to any electronic device.

A caller from this company left a voicemail that if I didn't call them they were going to deduct $6,000 from my checking account for lifetime coverage of computer protection.

Consumer was called by a company that called themselves Geek Advisor. They told consumer that she needed to pay $2,500 for using the tech support they put on her computer. Now, they have shut down her computer. The name of the person calling was Bella Evans. Consumer said it sounded like a foreign person. #HUYG7543 was the person's ID. number. Had given $300 back in May of 2018.

In 2017 my computer locked up and a notice appeared saying my computer was not secure. The notice said call Microsoft immediately which I called the number they supplied. They said they would fix my computer for $400. I paid them over the phone. When I hung up I became suspicious and did some research. There were sites that warned against this company so I stopped payment, and called Microsoft. Recently, they have been calling me everyday under a new name...Geek Advisors. They say I owed them $4000. I laughed but the next day they called and said $6000. I know it's the same company because the have my bank info (I changed it after being so stupid the first time). These guys are crooks. What can we do? Where do I get help?
