Received an e-mail from "[email protected]" saying they had received my resume from the Ladders website. E-mail had a some grammatical errors but had an attached job description on Eli Lilly letterhead. The job description also had grammatical errors and seemed a bit far fetched. The job was going to be working as an "Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Executive" from home and the description said that I would have to open up a business bank account and establish an EIN. The description sounded like I would be someone being the custodian of an account where AP and AR payments and receipts would be going through. I looked on the Eli Lilly website for the job posting but it did not exist there either.

I was asked to contact Anne White (who is a legitimate Eli Lilly employee, but I believe her name was taken because she is a C-level employee who would not be conducting an interview at this level) to set up the interview. I reached out to "[email protected]" and she asked to set up an interview time. She said that the interview would be conducted over Glip, which is a free messaging service (not one a Fortune 500 company would use). Her e-mail had similar grammatical errors. Neither of the e-mails had any pertinent contact information or e-mail signatures (title, phone number, valid e-mail address).
