EasternAir Cargo Reports & Reviews (3)

Paid $950 for a pug puppy through Zelle. The day before the puppy was scheduled to fly to me, the "pet relocation company," EasternAir Cargo (https://www.easternaircargo.com/), demanded an additional $1,500 for "temperature controlled crate." Again, I was asked, and I obliged, to make the payment through Zelle. I am now seeing that others have been scammed in an essentially identical manner: https://reportscam.com/highlandbulldogscom.

The website for the puppies (https://www.sunwoodpugs.com/available-puppies) is already inactive -- just 2-3 days after I made the payment for the puppy. I texted with an individual who called himself Michael and used the number 210-660-4038.

The website for the relocation company is still active. I received a call from 316-447-1145 in relation to the temperature controlled crate.

I am now unable to reach either Sunwood Pugs or EasternAir Cargo

This is a fake pet relocation company used by Sunwood Pugs in San Antonio, TX. After you purchase a Pug from Sunwood, EasternAir sends you a booking confirmation. They then send you an urgent email saying they need a large, "refundable" deposit for a temperature controlled crate. They ask that you send the deposit via Zelle or a prepaid Visa card, both of which offer no protection to the buyer. We were obviously suspicious and what confirmed it was when we called the cargo company, Michael from Sunwood Pugs answered.

I contracted for 2 pug puppies to be delivered to the airport, originally I had requested door to door. The price of shipping was part of the puppy transaction, and I received an email from the Cargo agency confirming flight, and even which carousel (#6 ) at which to meet the pet transport agent. I was given a tracking number, and on the website I could see when the estimated transport would occur, and what status the the payments for transfer was in. They then sent me an URGENT message, the day of the expected delivery, saying that I must pay for a special crate with temperature control, that the crate would be rented, and my payment refunded upon delivery of the puppies to the airport, and with the crate in good condition. I found that suspicious, and said so. Then I was informed I urgently needed to pay insurance for the pets, also refundable upon delivery, and I refused. They were asking $980 for insurance! And the plane had already left, without the puppies, and I would receive them early next morning. I had a very heated discussion with the breeder (Woodlands Pugs of Jacksonville NC https://www.woodlandspugs.com/about (ANOTHER SCAM)

about this, and wIt was extortion, as I had already paid for the puppies with assurance of their safe transfer. I had stupidly paid for the crate rental, and wished to cancel the whole transaction, and have my money returned via the same method I sent it. Western Union. I still see the tracking number as awaiting payment for the insurance. I have requested refund. I have telephoned them, I have emailed them, and I have heard nothing back from them. This is a scam, please protect others. Shut them down. Put them away! Shut them down. Their website indicates another address in Texas, which I am sure is also fraudulent.
