I knew there were a lot of red flags, but I went for it anyway (up to a point). The first thing I did was to sign up for Lifelock protection. After that I did send him my credit report. A few days later he said the best way to send me the money to make purchases for them was to put the money in one of my credit card accounts. I said no and informed him I had Lifelock protecting all of my accounts and my Social Security number. I told him to send me a prepaid credit card to make purchases for them.

Guess what, I have not heard from him again....

He or she must have worked for a company named Dcb Express because they sure have a lot of real looking documents.

Brian Barnes contacted my via email stating that he has a job offer as a supply chain manger. He provided me with the company’s IRS employment documents. He scammed me $500 dollars. I have been trying to contact him, but he has not responded.

I was contacted via email with a job offer. Since I was looking for a job I was interested. Contact name was Brian Barnes with DCB Express. 2 week trial period for employment. I was supplied tax documents for the business. When I checked the EIN with the IRS the number given was verified. Seemed legit. I was still apprehensive. I was told to transfer money from their business savings account to pay off my credit cards. I would never have to spend my own money. I would receive funds then make purchases. I set it up and transferred money online. I was then given purchase order for amazon gift cards and told to take pictures of the cards and number on back I scratched off and send it to brian. I did as instructed. Now my credit card website had changed the status from pending to posted for the money transfer from their account to my card and said I had no balance and had my full credit limit. I would not have made that purchase if my credit card did not show that the money had in deed transferred. This is something the scammer must know in order for this scam to even be possible. Another thing made it seem legit was a call from Madalin White from the finance department. I am currently working with my credit card company to resolve this issue.

As previously reported by another scam victim, I got an email from "Brian Barnes" stating that his company could not reach me by email to inform me that he had a Supply Chain job offer for me. When I responded via email I received a long list of job details back from him. It sounded fishy so I checked out their website. The website background photo was reversed which seemed strange for a professional website. It also had only three screens--again much less than a real company would have. I then noticed that his email had neither a phone number, fax number, business address, etc. When I checked out the "company" at the ScamPulse.com, there was no results found.

On 6/27 I received an email from Mr. Barnes informing me that they had emailed me an offer letter but due to email issues it bounced back.

This was the email that I received:

"We got your email with resume and sent a letter proposing the position of Supply Chain Manager in our company. But we had some problems with our email and probably our email was dropped in Spam Box or you did not receive this email. Please check your Spam Box and add email to contact list if you are interested in this position."

I replied and informed him that I never received an offer letter and that I had checked my spam box. He sent me the offer letter and job description. This job is way too good to be true, offered a 95k per year salary for a Supply Chain Manager's position. If he read my resume online, he would have seen that I have absolutely no experience in this field.

This is the 2nd email that I received from him today (6/28):

I replied to Mr. Barnes again this evening: "Thank you for resending the information to me in regards to this opportunity. The offer does sound great, but I do have a lot of questions before I make a commitment. After a little searching online and I was not able to find much about on the company DCB Express. I was able to find a very simple website that only lists some basic info and contact info for the company. I would like to speak to someone about the requirements for this opportunity. Is it possible to set up a phone call?"

I would like to state again, that I have ABSOLUTELY NO EXPERIENCE as a supply chain manager. I imagine it will be another full day before I receive a response from "Mr. Barnes" if that is his real name.

There were a few grammatical errors that tipped me off along with offering an obscene annual salary to someone with NO experience. Be sure to read what they are sending you VERY carefully.

- Lebanon, TN, USA

This person is offering 95k to work 30 hours a week know I live out of state, allegedly no need to put your own money into it. The reiterate this. However I believe the scam besides the obvious typos in email and proposal, is that the do a credit check on you to ensure you can be trusted with their money to purchase and supply.
