Seller has a legit looking website selling British Short hair kittens. Selling way below market value, because they "have a new litter coming" They also will "ship door to door for $50." Will ONLY accept wire payment through ZELLE. My bank warned against fraud associated with that payment avenue and wouldn't guarantee against fraudulent transaction. When the seller was told of the issue, and offered other means of payment, they immediately discontinued the transaction. Upon further on-line searches, it was discovered that there were many alerts of fraudulent pet sales associated with this " seller" including puppies and kittens. BEWARE.

I was looking to purchase a British Short Hair Kitten. This website had several images of these types of kittens, their gender, age, etc. I received a response the next day and we began communicating via email. The supposed breeder asked detailed and logical questions about my home environment, if I had ever owned this type of cat, etc., etc. all of which made me feel this was a legitimate breeder I was dealing with. I confirmed the specific kitten I was interested in and we began to discuss arrangements. I was to pay the $500 for the kitten and air shipping was free. Payment could be made via Zelle, Venmo, etc. and they would send me the kitten the next day. The breeder then sent me a contract which we both signed and I made the payment via Zelle which is Chase’s person to person payment tool. The breeder said she/they would work on the transfer of ownership papers and flight arrangements for the kitten to arrive the next day. They even said they could make the flight arrangements for the regional airport closest to me home. I confused this breeder with the other breeder from the same website left a voicemail and email late that night stating I was expecting to receive paperwork that night and did not so i was getting very concerned and that if I didn’t hear from them soon I would involve authorities. I shouldn’t have said that and the next day I received an email from the breeder saying she told me I would receive the flight info in the morning and that she would now not be seeing me the kitten nor refunding my money. I apologized via return email and also left a voicemail. I continued to send emails asking her to reconsider and stated I was still very interested in purchasing the kitten. I continued to send emails for the next day and half and left a couple voicemails which were never returned. At one point her husband picked up the phone and acknowledged I had reached the correct place, started to listen to me and then hung up. I tried calling back and my number had been blocked. I now knew I had been scammed and was out $500. Even worse, this was a gift from my mother. I was sick to my stomach knowing this is what was transpiring. I kept hoping things would work out and tried giving the breeder the benefit of the doubt that they would come around, but in my gut I knew it was a scam. I cannot believe people have the audacity to carry out such immoral activities and take advantage of innocent people; absolutely despicable. I’m completely disgusted and disappointed. I've contacted the Oklahoma City police and filed a report so now they will be investigated. I hope they are caught, fined and arrested so they never do this again to anyone.

I never received the papers that evening and left a voicemail and email that night stating the same. I continued to leave voicemails and send send emails for the next day and half and never heard from anyone...I knew I had been scammed and was now out $600. I was sick to my stomach knowing this is what was transpiring. I honestly cannot believe the lack of integrity and morals...and this was an older woman no less. Just unbelievable - I was extremely disgusted and disappointed. I've contacted the Oklahoma City police and filed a report so now they will be investigated.
