I applied for a Customer Service Representative/Receptionist job on Indeed. I received an email to kindly email blankpaige.org for additional info regarding hours, salary, and benefits. I emailed that address about the job and was responded to by a man named Mark Shaffer that didn't seem to have any relation to the Blank Paige Productions company I was applying for. He described a job opportunity as a Personal Assistant and provided pay and assignments in the email. I was asked to give my name, address, phone number and email address. Without confirming to accept the job, a check was mailed to me by FedEx. I emailed this person back and said to void the check and I was no longer available and interested in this job. I wrote VOID on the check and ripped it up and threw it away. The sender address was named Alger Gomez from Finney Implement Inc. from Lancaster, WI. The signature on the check was not Mark Shaffer or Alger Gomez.
