They approach you by text and tell you tell you to check your spam emails. When I checked my emailed they told me that they wanted to interview me for a job posting I applied for on LinkedIn. They said that they took the posting down so they wouldn't be charged by LinkedIn for they job post. They told me to meet on Skype for an interview and then only used chat and then sent me an interview questioner to my email to fill out. They then sent me another email that I would be receiving a phone call from a Mr. Alessandro who is Italian. He called me and sounded more Middle Eastern with a heavy accent and asked me why they should hire me and when can I start. Then sent me another email an hour later stating that they are hiring me and that "we are going to be communicating virtually till after 5 days of working with us" and that they will be sending me form to fill out in the meantime. They also said that they "we are starting you with $25 per hour and you will receive your pay weekly via wire transfer, direct deposit or check, depending on which you prefer."

I emailed back, don't they want to meet me in person before hiring me? No response.

I received a text from "Ashley Anderson - Human Resources". An interview through "Samantha Ricketts" on Skype, a call from "Alessandro Bruno" at 954-516-7112, and that # shows up on multiple porn sites when googled. I have not accepted their offer or given them any information. They sent me a Word doc to complete then in a few hours told me I had the job, and would send me the offer the following Monday. Which they did, I was supposed to sign it and return it via email, at which point I would give them my address. Problem #1: I have no record of applying to the job, even though the text said I applied via LinkedIn. #2: Their email and website domain do not match up. #3: "inc" is in their name but not their logo. #4: Google Maps doesn't show their logo anywhere at that building location. #5: Nothing on their website links, which show logos, go to their social media or even LinkedIn, even though the job description said it would be creating images for social media. #6: None of the people in the emails and texts and offer show up in social media, and if they do they have nothing to do with this company. #7: The "lady" on Skype won't answer any probing questions regarding any of these issues. #8: They have not claimed their linked in 'about' page. #9: Someone else in LinkedIn posted their job title the exact same as what I was offered, the same month. #10: I've not had any 'real' interview this entire process. They have no followers or posts on LinkedIn. They're also listed on Scamalert.com as trying to get your information by posing as offering a job.

This company reached out to me offering me a remote job from home. I was to be their virtual assistant and they sent me a check in the mail for $3489.61 and that was supposed to be used for buying equipment for my home office. I deposited my check and was to with draw the money from my account and go put it into their account at Bank of America and then they would send me my equipment. Their account name is Olla Beauty Supply Inc. And their account number is 0112-021-255. Luckily the bank teller at Bank of America told me to go put it back into my account until it was fully done processing. I have since secured my credit reports and will be filing a police report.

They offered me a job as a virtual assistance and website look so real offer looked great, I accepted the job offer and provided my personal information usually ask in a W2 and W4, I even did a week of training with this person called Stacy Ricketts, but during the week a series of red flags started to pop like creating 3 skypes in 1 week, and then pressuring me about depositing an almost 4, 000 check for a supposed equipment purchases for the company. I still have the check and the conversations.

They sent me an email about a remote job and had me do an interview. They emailed me and used Skype. It all seemed legit until they said they would send me equipment for the job and I had to purchase it using a check from the company. I called the actual company and asked to speak to a member or HR and the lady responded "I'm sorry. There's been a scam going around." The scammers used the names Stacy Ricketts, Alessandro Bruno, Jessica White, and Janelle Paciello.
