First contact was made through email, which was initially ignored. Then a second email came through asking our business to 'claim' an award that had already awarded to us. In return for 'claiming' this award, we would receive various recognition materials, etc. Nothing was pursued with this person; consequently, any costs involved are not known.

After searching the internet, the Washington ScamPulse.com reported this same company scamming businesses in that area. Therefore, I am totally assuming that this is the same type of scam in NY.
