Bakersfield Ranch Reports & Reviews (13)

While I was checking out horses this summer on the Bakersfield Ranch website, the site was taken down. Then I found this review site saying it was a scam.
Now they are back, on another website. SAME horses pictures, same names and descriptions. Under a different "owner's name" and state. SCAM ALERT! https://www.oaktrailranch.com/page1.html

The horse was great at a low price in California. Guy seemed concerned for the horse an that it would have a good home. Talked about he an his wife. He started getting a little pushy about getting his money upfront before delivery! A.S.A.P. was one thing he sent that really got me to checking him out! Luckily, I got on it before any funds were sent!

This man stole $5200 from my handicapped daughter. She thought that he was legitimate. She was trying to buy a horse for therapeutic riding. Never got the horse. He won't return calls or letters. He asked for more money after the initial payment for an insurance policy. He refused to release the vet records or send the horse. We have bought many horses over the years without problems. He is a crook of the lowest kind---preying on the handicapped.

I saw his website sent email asking about coming to see a horse. He then said I would have to give him a deposit of 2000.00 just to come look at the horses.i told him I wouldn't give deposit to just look. He basically said someone will buy him if I don't. Hope people research before giving money to him. I don't understand why he can't be investigated and ad removed not hard to set him up and prove a scam site.

I found a horse I really wanted. Reached out via email & got contacted by Allen Bakersfield . I was sent an amazing video & photos. After completing a questionnaire an agreement was made to purchase, but there was a huge push to transport rather than me picking up. A deposit & transport fee was required before delivery. The means of payment is by zelle, wire transfer, cash app or gift card. Only a wire is ensured by my bank-thank God I went that route. Despite my bank telling me the $ was sent the seller sent me pictures of his account on his mobile device showing no deposit. The seller became very pushy & wanted me to send the money again until the banks resolved the missing money. At that point I got my husband involved who actually called him & instantly knew by his speech I’d been scammed. The bank reversed the charges on my end and I got my money back. The man portraying to be Allen had given me email addresses, cellphone and bank account names and numbers. Those were all reported to the FBI and the bank they were using was notified of the accounts in question. I have included all the contact info I have to help the next person. The website is beautifully done & easily deceiving.

I am making it my mission to find every website they are using for this ploy & reporting it. I found paint-quarter horse website that has the same MO. The references page has horrible context & speech pattern the same broken speech is used for all the different parties & the photos are not genuine.

Put in an online inquiry about a horse they had for sale on their website. The prices were very reasonable. Within minutes of the inquiry, I received an automated email with more photos and videos of the horses. They did not want to talk on the phone. They were very pushy to get us to pay upwards of $7,000 immediately. I did a reverse image search on one of the photos that had a horse trainer in the photo. It was a completely different website called mozaunmckibben.com and the horse was already sold for three times the amount Bakersfieldranch.com had it posted for. I requested a bill of sale for reference and to review the verbiage and they sent me a copy of a forged bill of sale. They need to be shut down before they steal anyone else’s money.

Total fraud. Total scam. They won’t schedule a look at the horse, won’t allow a vet check, won’t send paperwork, charge exorbitant shipping, the money has to be wire transferred to them before anything else (prob offshore)... 30 day money-back guarantee ( good luck with that) and the only fellow that answered the phone had a heavy foreign accent and wasn’t for sure the guy in the video...similar to other scams...if it’s too good to be true, it isn’t...

I saw a web sight called Premiumhorsefarm.com in California. I saw several horses I liked. When I went back to look at them the website is Suspended. I saw Bakersfield Ranch I started looking at the horses on this website. I saw several of the same horses listed on both websites. The prices for these horses is too good to be true. I sure hope no one gets scammed by this.

After inquiring about several beautiful horses for sale on this website, i was immediately contacted via text message by Allen Bakersfield, who also goes by Allen Baker. Then within 5 minutes, I also received an email urging me to take a look at the information and let him know soon as his horses "sell very fast." When I asked a few questions about the horse including recent vet records, he told me to hurry and make the payment and i would receive the records after purchase. He would not tell me which veterinarian they use or provide any references. The information on his website includes what i suspect are fake reviews. When asked for names of people who have purchased from him he would not disclose, or have one of them contact me to verify it's not a scam.

Please investigate this ASAP - he has very beautiful photos and enticing descriptions on his site and likely has gotten away with fraud for some time.

I found Bakersfield Ranch on a Google search while researching horses for sale in California. I was impressed with the beautiful photos of a variety of horses offered for sale at reasonable prices. Immediately after sending an email inquiry on a few of the listed horses for sale, the "owner" Allen Bakersfield, also known as Allen Baker...asked for an immediate deposit. When I emailed back that I wanted to know the name of the Veterinarian who had examined the sale horses and also references from the local community, I was told that the information was not available.

I suspect that this individual is running a scam.
