AdBlox VPN App Victorianhomes4u.com Reports & Reviews (1)

- Orem, UT, USA

I was on Instagram and saw a Victorian house page, when reading about it it had a website on it. I found both their websites on Facebook. Victorian Depot which has their own website for selling furniture and Victorianhomes4u.com where they claimed they buy and sell Victorian real estate too. The Victorian depot was a legit website, but the second I went to victorianhomes4u, I realized I was dumb. It wasn’t a real website the url had an exclamation sign for it not being a secured site. It had similar links I could click on but nothing. All of a sudden alerts started popping up on my screen like Apple alerts. It said I’d contracted 19 Trojan viruses and was going to be open for hackers and that my phone and personal information was compromised, and no joke I kept dismissing them and they kept popping up and up and up like 4-5 times. It started a countdown of 4 mins if I didn’t download the app AdBlox VPN from the App Store. More red flags… but it was Apple alerts which I thought could be trusted but I also thought Apple doesn’t get viruses like that, plus I literally never go to abnormal sites, this is all new. I download the app after seeing so many good reviews and it does NOTHING. There’s a 3 day free trial before you get charged $8.49/week after that. I figured I’d download it, see if it worked, then cancel in time. The buttons literally do nothing. There are only two buttons that toggle a bit but do nothing and all the others I click on - I would’ve thought my phone was frozen or something. I canceled the subscription looked at reviews and saw only 2-3 others that were the same as mine and said buttons didn’t work and that it was a scam! All the others are somehow 5 star and super vague. The app does nothing. Apple doesn’t get viruses like that. The alerts were so blatantly fraud! I feel like a fool! I got scared because I’ve had my emails hacked before and now I’m concerned I let them in this time. I’m also curious if they’ll still charge me come June 8th even though I’ve cancelled. I’ve screenshot everything! I feel like the victorianhomes4u was what led to the weird pop ups and then the app does nothing whatsoever but they want peoples money??? That app shouldn’t be a thing if it doesn’t do anything and victorianhomes4u shouldn’t be advertised if it’s not a real website domain. I know for certain the pop ups I received are directly correlated with the app because it wanted me to download it or the alerts would keep coming back.

Marcus E. Curtis is the guy who runs victoriandepot.com & victorianhomes4u.com … I don’t know if he’s associated with all this but one of his websites and the app are the culprits here. Please help make sure this doesn’t happen to others!
