- Houston, TX, USA • Apr 30, 2024

Received a post card stamped "First Class Mail, Presorted, U.S. Postage Paid, St. Louis, MO, Permit No. 1999". Said home warranty was about to expire, call 888-413-5452 "for uninterrupted protection". Included Registration ID and PIN to use.

- Lake Ozark, MO, USA • Apr 30, 2024

The person on the phone would not reveal the name of the warranty company that was on record as expiring connected to my home address. I inherited my current primary residence and all necessary documents have been located. None of the documents included a home warranty company that was originally implemented back in 2014. The person on the other end of the phone call was very hateful and disrespectful. The person on the other end of the phone call had incorrect information about the property. I ended the call before any monetary amount could be discussed to put the so called expired home warranty policy back in force.

Mail fraud attempt to collect fees

- Columbus, OH, USA • Apr 27, 2024

Received postcard in mail saying it's a "county deed records" that my warranty for my dwelling inside and out was expiring and I had 5 days to renew. No identification whatsoever on the card. Just the 888 number and a "pin" and "registration" number.

Post Card received stating my homeowners warranty is about to lapse. I don't have a homeowners warranty.

- Ocala, FL, USA • Apr 18, 2024

Double sided post card received; one side appeared to be from a Home Warranty Division, the other side appeared to be from County Deed Records. Registration was required for continued protection, mechanical systems, inside/outside coverage, continual usage limit, home inspection waived. There was a Registration ID and a PIN on the card (both sides the same). WARRANTY REPLACEMENT was printed on one side. It was mailed with Postal Permit No. 1999, First Class Mail, Presorted, U.S. Postage Paid St. Louis, Mo.

We did not call to get more information and we have no idea what this is for. I mark this a SCAM that is targeted at elderly homeowners because we live in a 55+ community.

Home Warranty Division

- Clemson, SC, USA • Mar 05, 2024

My husband received this threatening letter in the mail. I advised him that it was an obvious scam. I then called the number they had listed and told them that sending these types of threatening letters in the mail is dangerous to older people.

- Concord, MA, USA • Feb 24, 2024

Received a postcard in the mail "COUNTY DEED RECORDS" stating that the Warranty Replacement for Mechanical Systems in our home was expiring on 3/15/2024. We don't have any home warranty. There was no company listed, no address, no website, nothing but a phone # to call and a registration ID # to reference. The card was bulk mailed from St. Louis, permit #1999. This is a scam to take money by convincing some poor, unsuspecting person into believing they have a warranty on their home that they need to renew.

- Gallatin, TN, USA • Feb 02, 2024

There was no ID of where letter came from, only the phone #. I realized it was fake so I did not reply. I read this questioner wrong and was giving my address not theirs

- Goodlettsville, TN, USA • Jan 27, 2024

we received the postal card Home Warranty Division on one side stating Warranty replacement notice asking us to call for uninterrupted protection. On the other side County Deed Records stating warranty replacement notice asking us to call 1-888-413-5452 for uninterrupted protection. We have no such account and decided it was a scam. Checked the phone number to find your site and was convinced it is a scam. Did not call the number so they have no more info than our name and address which was printed on their card.

Postcard sent first class - home warranty scam

- Granbury, TX, USA • Dec 09, 2023

Received a post card from County Deeds Records/Home Warranty Division. with expiration date to renew my warranty for all mechanical systems in our home. We do not have a home warranty. Call to be removed form their mailing list. They swear we have a home warranty, but refused to give a company name or headquarters location.

I received a letter in the mail from "Home Warranty Division" with an urgent message that home insurance was expiring. It came with something looking like a check for $199 that wasn't a check, listed the name of the company securing my mortgage, and the address of my house. There was no company name, no address, no website, no e-mail. It only listed a phone number to call. The postage on the letter said "Mailed From Zip Code 95813" and "PAID Permit#1935". It looks like either a 100% scam, or an extremely misleading/fraudulent attempt to get someone to enlist in unneeded insurance.

This is the letter I received from my postal mail. And I suspect it as a fake. This person or company has been trying to take advantage of a 76 year old senior citizen and trying to scam her. These people need to be caught and handled by the law.
